Process: In a quick Star Wars obsession I decided to make both of Rey’s costumes. Both are mostly handmade. Her main costume from the film was made as following: the shirt and trousers were bought and modified. Her saches were made from a muslin which I dyed. The arm wraps are Boots bandages slightly darkened. The belt was made from a thick strip of leather with added buckles and split in the middle. Her “bracelet” was made from two types of leather. And her staff was made from PVC pipe, Worbla, foam and bathroom supplies. Wig for both was bought and styled.
Her second costume (end of film) is in similar fashion a modified pair of trousers and top. The grey vest she wears is a wool which is lined with cotton. The gun was 3D printed (on commission) but painted and cleaned up by me. The holster made from a leather.
